2006 – First Homes

After years of working as a contractor, Erik took on his biggest challenge yet – building his very first home from the ground up. It wasn’t about launching a company or chasing recognition; it was about proving to himself that he could bring together every piece of the process, from foundation to finishes. That first home laid the groundwork for the values Fin Home is still built on today: uncompromising craftsmanship, attention to detail, and pride in a job done right.

2010s – Growing Through Experience

Throughout the following decade, Erik poured his energy into remodeling projects and new builds across the Dallas-Fort Worth area. These years weren’t just about completing jobs – they were about sharpening skills, solving challenges on real sites, and building relationships with the trades and suppliers who would later form the backbone of Fin Home. By tackling everything from small remodels to complex home builds, Erik developed the knowledge, network, and reputation that would become the foundation of a lasting company.

2018 – Fin Home is Founded

By 2018, the years of experience had crystallized into something bigger: the official launch of Fin Home Custom Contracting. With the company’s founding, Erik set out with a clear mission – to combine top-tier craftsmanship with a client-first approach that made the building process smooth and transparent. No longer just working project to project, Fin Home became a trusted name for homeowners across DFW who wanted quality they could see and service they could rely on.

2020 – Expanding to Possum Kingdom

As Fin Home’s reputation grew, opportunities began to stretch beyond the metroplex. In 2020, the team took on its first projects at Possum Kingdom Lake, designing and building luxury homes tailored to lakeside living. These homes weren’t just about four walls and a roof – they were about lifestyle, capturing the beauty of lake views, the functionality of outdoor spaces, and the comfort of modern luxury. This expansion marked a new chapter in Fin Home’s story, blending DFW roots with a broader vision.
